    Comments : The autobiography of Arthur Cobby, the leading ace of the Australian Flying Corps and the third highest scoring Australian Ace. Details Cobbys enlistment into the AFC, his training in Australia and England as well as his operational service with 4 Sqn AFC and his time with 1 Wing AFC as an instructor. Contains many photographs of the AFC squadrons and pilots. There are also colour profiles of aircraft done by Norman Clifford.

    Comments : The history of 1 AFC while Sutherland was a pilot with the squadron. Sutherland tells chapter long stories of the men he fought with and against in a yarning type style. The stories are told with an eye to humour and many are as funny and entertaining as they are sad. In particular the chapter on the rascal of 1 Sqn AFC, C.C.Cameron. The book tells of many incidents which would never appear in historical records or squadron diaries. Sutherland writes that the book represents his poppies to the men he served with. The book includes several unique photographs. Original issues can go for as high as 240 AUD.

    Comments : The auto-biography of Air Marshal Richard Williams. Williams was an early AMF and AFC pilot who flew with 1 Sqn AFC in Palestine and later commanded the Squadron and the RAF Wing 1 Sqn flew with. After the war Williams led the RAAF through to WWII. A fascinating look at the life of one of the greatest Australian Military Aviators in his own words.
